July is Marriage Month at St. James. During July, we’ll be focusing on marriage as the preeminent human relationship through which God teaches us how much Jesus loves the Church. Marriage was the first covenant in creation and as such, is the first and most important relationship in human society. But great marriages require God’s assistance because truthfully, marriage isn’t easy. In fact, some times, marriage is just plain tough. We have to work hard to make marriage great as God intended it. No couple has ever been given a pre-made, pre-packaged great marriage! They don’t come that way! Instead, they come to us much like the raw materials needed to build a home.
